Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress

On 08.03.2024, Friday, Opel hosted a special event at the Opel Training Hall, highlighting the theme "Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress." The event was a celebration of our 95 women employees and their contributions to our organization.

We were honored to have Dr. V. Parvathi, a Consultant Psychologist, as our Chief Guest. Dr. Parvathi delivered an insightful speech focusing on women empowerment, self-care, mental peace, and independence. Her words resonated deeply with everyone present, inspiring us to strive for personal and professional growth.

Another highlight of the event was a speech by Mrs. Vidhya Senthilkumar , our Director of CSR & Branding. She shared valuable insights into our CSR activities and emphasized the importance of empowering the next generation of women.

The event also featured special invitees, including Mr. R. Ragavan CEO, Mr. Velumani, CEO-Propel Drives, Mr. V. V. Rajan, Sr. V.P, and Mr. Gurusamy, V.P. Their presence added to the significance of the occasion, and we were grateful for their support. Throughout the day, various outdoor and indoor games were organized, focusing on team building, concentration, and coordination. Winners were awarded prizes, adding a fun and competitive element to the event.

The day concluded with a cake cutting ceremony, followed by snacks & coffee, and a memorable photo session. As a token of appreciation, all women employees received a special gift, symbolizing our gratitude for their hard work and dedication.

The event was a testament to our commitment to gender equality and women's empowerment. We believe that by investing in women, we can accelerate progress and create a more inclusive and diverse workplace.
